North Little Rock High School

Speech, Drama

            & Dance

Thank you for exploring the official website of the North Little Rock High School Speech, Drama, and Dance Department. NLR is proud to have a long tradition as one of the largest speech, drama, and dance programs in the state of Arkansas. NLR presents three main stage productions, two dance concerts, a dessert theater night, hosts one of the largest speech and debate competitions in central Arkansas. NLR employs 11 incredibly talented faculty and educates approximately 500 students in ALL aspects of the speech, dance, and theater arts. If you live in or around the NLR/Little Rock/Maumelle/Jacksonville area, we would love to have you join us in the audience for an upcoming show.

With our large, comfortable theater, high production values, and talented company onstage, in the wings and in the pit, we believe you will find NLR musicals, drama and dance to be well worth the price of admission.

Please explore our website. If you have any questions, or would like more information about an upcoming production, please contact us @ 501-771-8127.

We look forward to seeing you at our next event!

Today more than ever the arts are needed by our young people as a forum for safe expression, communication, exploration, imagination, and cultural and historical understanding. Education through the arts supports not only the adolescent’s intellectual and educational development, but also their personal and social development. The following video takes a look at how the NLR program has impacted and changed lives through the arts.
